I’ve stategically arranged life to spend unemployed seasons ski touring globally desirable destinations. After each visit, I leave many routes unexplored due to the abundance of great options and wonder how many seasons are needed to fully explore that destination. For instance, I feel three seasons in Jackson Hole (USA) or Las Lenas (Argentina) would provide enough time to adequately see those entire regions. Impressed with the plethora of accessible routes around Thompson Pass, Alaska (USA), I believe this mecca necessitates most of a lifetime. I recently visited the Kullu Valley in northern India and left feeling inferior by my touring mortality. With five enormous valleys draining into the Kullu, and the vastness of neighboring Lahaul and Spitti, I feel this destination warrants nine lifetimes to truly see it all! If only I were a cat.

The area offers numerous opportunities for non-skiers in both summer and winter and will offer adventure sports such as white water rafting, unlimited trekking, parasailing and mountain biking. HSV is currently working with international groups who have direct experience in offering a wide range of adventure sports. This model has been successfully implemented globally - Queenstown in New Zealand has a similar diverse range of sports and other facilities.
